How does a biology major, turned internet marketer start decorating cakes? Well all I can say is that I went to a liberal arts college, (Ripon College) and I learned that I can do many things, so why not try a little bit of it all.
I’ve always liked to bake and decorating cakes has always interested me. In April, 08 I started a Wilton 1 class at JoAnn’s. I had a great teacher, Elizabeth. I figured out early on, that it was a lot of work to bake and make frosting in my tiny kitchen, but I enjoyed it. I had fun making cakes, cupcakes and cookies. Jayson and I didn’t need to eat them all, so we started to feed them to our co-workers. (I am still waiting for the commission from their gyms since they should have all had to join one after I started.) As time went on I took the Wilton 2 and currently I’m taking the Fondant class.

- Here's a little bit of info on us. We are married, both work full time and currently we have no kids. Hence we are the D.I.N.K.s. Jayson and I met at work and started dating. We went on our first cruise together in 2004, he asked me to marry him shortly after we returned. We were married in Chicago in the fall of 04. We wanted to go on a big trip for our honeymoon so we planned a 16 day trip to Europe including a 12 day cruise of the Mediterranean for the following summer. This was the beginning our love to travel together. Now we try to plan trips to fun and exciting locations were we can be outdoors hiking or experiencing new things. We also have many friends across the U.S. that we try to visit regularly since we get easily board at home if we don’t have a trip to look forward to. We have reviewed some of our past trips and I’ll be adding in new posts about up coming trips as we plan and go on them. Check back often as we don’t like to sit idle for to long.
